The implementation of the Robotic Palletiser for the automated stacking of Granitgard product.
The task of palletising bags of Granitgard has been on the radar for a few years due to the manual handling associated with the loading of the bags onto the pallets.
After trailing a number of methods to minimize manual handling, the ultimate solution was to install a robot to stack the bags.
Now all the operator has to do is place the empty bag on the filling unit and seal the bag before it gets placed on the conveyor. The robot stacks the pallets and then they are conveyed by forklift to the mechanical shrink wrapper.
The robot has reduced the manual handling associated with the task and increased the efficiency of the operation.
