Mawsons supply crushed and rounded stone from a wide range of sources for use in landscaping and decorative (exposed aggregate) concrete. Choose from a diverse pallet of natural colours to complement all kinds of building and landscaping applications.

Aggregates

Modern fixed and mobile crushing, shaping, washing and screening plants enable Mawsons to produce single size and graded aggregates including sealing, filter and concrete aggregates for a wide range of applications.

Mawsons supply class A and B stone with excellent hardness, shape, durability and skid resistance qualities. Both class products meet Victorian, South Australian, Tasmanian and New South Wales chip/spray sealing and asphalt specifications. We also supply stone with low alkali reactivity that is graded and shaped for optimal concrete performance at Mawsons’ quarries. Our durable, sound-quality stone and sand can also be crushed, shaped, screened and blended to suit diverse filter applications, including drainage and dam/retaining walls, and pond lining.

Crushed Rock / Roadbase

Mawsons’ quarries supply large and small volumes of road construction products for all applications. Mawsons operate fixed and mobile wet mix (pugmill), and lime or cement stabilisation plants to ensure the optimum moisture content and blends are consistently delivered.

Erosion Control Spalls and Railway Ballast

Mawsons produce railway ballast to tightly pack between, below and around railway sleepers. Our product enables water to drain, distributes the load from sleepers and discourages vegetation which might interfere with track structure. We also supply erosion control spalls for modern irrigation structures requiring rock protection from the wash of water disturbed by wind or strong currents.

Innovative Quarry Products

Combining and further processing of conventional quarry products following extensive research and development has enabled us to innovate with quarry products such as “granitgard” and “slab fill”. Partnering with the CSIRO has given us new insights.
